About us

Between us, we have have spent over fourty years developing software, creating web sites and related services, managing computer networks, and advising businesses on all of the above, and more. This is backed up by degrees in computer science and psychology, and research experience.

We helped Sainsbury's to become the first major UK retailer to sell online, we helped bring the Oxford English Dictionary to the web, and we invented the subsequently-patented technology that lets people exercise together over the net.

Company founders, Paola Kathuria and Frank Wales, have worked in the computer industry since the mid 1980s and have worked as Internet developers and consultants since 1995.

Paola Kathuria has degrees in psychology and computing as well as research experience.

She started programming in 1983, worked as a database developer for five years, and has been a web developer since 1995.

Paola has a special interest in planning and design.

She has been actively involved in the Internet since 1987; she has written articles and has been interviewed for radio and TV about the net. She was the maintainer of InetUK for eight years, the first directory of Internet companies in the UK. more...

    

Frank Wales has an honours degree in science, a formal education in computing, and over twenty years of professional software development and systems management experience.

He has been on the net since 1983, and has been developing or consulting on Internet-related systems since the early 1990s.

Before that, he spent nearly ten years writing embedded and mobile systems for government and corporate use, including mil-spec systems, and developing tools for other developers.

He has gone from assembly-language programmer via technical consultant to business adviser, and sometimes catches himself discussing things like return on investment and network latency in the same conversation. more...

About the company: This is our second Internet company. We were two of the four founders of Limitless in 1995 and worked there for five years.
