Some of this site's features
This is an overview of some of this web site's features. If you'd
like more information on any of these or if would like to discuss our
design decisions, you're welcome to
get in touch.
Functional graphic design:
Besides a unique label, each site section has been assigned a unique
colour and shape. These attributes are used in various otherwise
decorative elements around the site to convey context and to facilitate
way-finding.
In addition, text style, such as colour, size and weight, is used to convey whether text in a list is a link, selected or an informational label.
Shades of grey are also used to convey relevance in a results list.

Sessions maintained at the server:
Although session information is written to cookies, it's also maintained
at the server. All of the site's features will continue to work if
cookies are disabled. Cookies allow site preferences and
Colour Selector
settings to persist between visits.

Current context shown dynamically:
The list of links above the page heading shows the shortest path to the
page from the home page. Some pages exist in more than one place on the
site and the context list reflects the actual route taken. Similarly,
the page TITLE (in the browser window) is dynamically generated
and limited to three elements, page heading first.
